Privacy Policy for QuickWord
Last Updated: September 2, 2026
Overview
QuickWord (“the App”) is an iPhone application for saving and memorizing Bible verses. This privacy policy explains how the App handles your information.
Data Collection
We do not collect any personal data.
The App has no account system, no sign-in, no analytics, and no advertising. We operate no servers that receive information from the App.
Local Device Storage
The verses you save, the translation you selected, and your display preferences are stored only on your device. The home screen widget reads the same local storage so it can show your verses. This data is included in your normal iPhone backup and is deleted when you delete the App.
Network Requests
The App connects to the internet only when you use Look Up Verse. The reference you typed (for example, “John 3:16”) is sent to one of two scripture providers to retrieve the text:
- API.Bible (American Bible Society) for the NIV, CSB, NLT, and KJV translations. As required by its terms, the App also sends an anonymous request that counts the passage as viewed.
- ESV API (Crossway) for the ESV translation.
These requests include the reference and the App's access key. They do not include your name, email, device identifier, or any of your saved verses. Each provider's own privacy policy governs how it handles requests it receives.
Children's Privacy
The App does not collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13.
